Meet Joel Hawksley

You may come across my name, Joel Hawksley, in innovation and leadership. My journey through various industries has been fascinating, guided by a genuine passion for making a positive impact and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

One significant chapter of my career began with establishing J & Washington, LLC, in partnership with David Washington. Our venture primarily focuses on government, community, and political consulting, particularly on local public relations. It's a field where innovation truly matters, and I'm proud to have played a part in it. In addition to co-founding our company, I currently serve as the President of Influence Club, Inc., Vice President of PolSa, Inc., and Executive Director of BATA 21 Inc., or Bringing America Together Again.

My professional journey has led me through various roles, each offering unique opportunities for growth and innovation. For instance, as an Operations Director, I had the privilege of overseeing business operations, purchasing, and sales. What excited me the most was identifying areas for improvement. This drive for enhancement boosted revenue margins and increased employee productivity. Additionally, I took it upon myself to establish guidelines to nurture a culture of excellence, particularly in areas such as employee evaluations, recruitment, and promotions.

My commitment to public service found expression when I served as a Congressional Case Worker for the U.S. House of Representatives. In this role, I had the opportunity to assist constituents in Florida's Seventh Congressional District as they navigated the complexities of federal agencies. The role required adaptability and a genuine desire to make a positive difference, qualities I hold dear.

My professional journey has been guided by a versatile skill set I've cultivated. Leadership and team development have always been my keen interest and growth. Strategic planning and operational excellence have become second nature, driving positive changes within the organizations I've been a part of. Cross-functional collaboration, client relationship management, and budgeting have also played significant roles in my career.

Before embarking on my civilian career, I served in the United States Army for 15 years. The military instilled in me the values of discipline and dedication, and I held various roles that furthered my leadership abilities.

My educational background, including an A.A. in General Studies from Valencia College and a B.A. in Advertising-Public Relations and Political Science from The University of Central Florida, provided a solid foundation for my innovative thinking and leadership.
